After a disappointing spell at East End Park - one which lasted just over a year - right winger Bobby Ryan has headed back across the Irish sea, signing for Eircom league side St Pats Athletic.
The 28 year-old Irishman moves to St Pats in a deal costing 15 000 euros (just over £11k) after failing to cement a first-team place in the Pars side, falling behind James O'Brien, Kevin Harper and - more recently - Michael McGlinchey in the pecking order.
After making his debut in the poor 1-0 loss away to Falkirk last season Ryan went on to make just 12 appearances for the club, with seven of those in the starting eleven.
Although Bobby undoubtedly gave his all when turning out for the Pars he never looked anything like up-to-the standard which we require, severly lacking pace and the ability to take players on.
Since Stephen Kenny's departure from the club it has appeared as though Ryan has been after a move away from Fife and this move would appear to suit all parties involved.
We at Pars-Mad would like to wish Bobby all the best for the future.
