No worries for Pars
Dunfermline have no suspensions or injuries for the visit of an Airdrieonians team that was relegated alongside them at the end of last season.
The Diamonds played a major role in sending the Pars down with a 2-1 victory on the final day and boss Jim Jefferies is hoping that his young side have learnt from that day.
Jefferies said: "Airdrie are always a difficult side to play but on that day we created lots and lots of chances. We never took them and got hit by a sucker punch.
"If we play like we did in that game but take our chances then we will do more than okay."
Airdrie hope to have Martin Hardie available after an ankle problem to face one of his former sides at East End Park.
Full-back Chris O'Neill is a doubt and John Boyle remains out following knee surgery as the Diamonds look to repeat their success last season.
Manager Jimmy Boyle said: "We won twice at East End last season and it would be terrific to pick up a third success. We finally got a home win last Saturday when we beat Stranraer and it would be great to build on that.
"Dunfermline have shown plenty of character this season and we need to match that."
