Falkingham back to face former club
Dunfermline skipper Josh Falkingham is in line to start against former club Arbroath after overcoming a knee injury.
Back up goalkeeper Michal Hrivnak misses out due to a toe injury, Alan Smith remains sidelined with a knee problem and manager Jim Jefferies is also without the suspended Stephen Husband.
Luke Johnstone has been ill all week and also looks set to miss out.
Jefferies said: "Arbroath have a number of experienced players in their ranks and will see us as a big name to beat.
"We have to work hard to overcome that."
Arbroath boss Paul Sheerin's only injury concern is summer signing Ricky Little, who broke his foot last month.
The Gayfield men are chasing their first win of the season and Sheerin has warned his players that off-the-field adversity has made their opponents stronger.
Sheerin said: "Dunfermline have a great deal of determination about them and that makes them very dangerous hosts indeed.
"They have come through a lot together and will have to match that determination first and foremost to get a result.
"We have the players to do that and they're starting to gel together in the manner expected when we made changes."
