The 31-year-old has struggled to make an impact at East End Park this season and, with his wages likely at SPL level, its unlikely that many Pars fans will grieve this loss.
This move could kick-start a mini clear-out at East End over the next day or two with gaffer Jim McIntyre keen to reduce his squad size in preperation for next season's campaign.
Whilst I certainly would never claim to have been Hamilton's biggest fan since he joined the Pars - almost the exact opposite, if the truth be told - I'm sure all DA fans will wish Hammy all the best for the future.
