Hendry - who would no doubt relish a move to an SPL club - is currently manager at Blackpool who despite a poor start to the season are now enjoying a successful run of form.
Reports suggest that the Pars are interested in bringing a young manager to the club as a contrast to the recently-departed veteran Davie Hay.
However with the Pars board refusing to make any move for a manager before the end of the season, only time will tell if Hendry will get the opportunity to become the latest in a long line of Pars managers.
