Morrison who was told in February by manager Jim McIntyre - when the signing of Austin McCann was announced - that his contract would not renewed in June, when it is due to expire.
With Muirhead and McCann both able to play at left back the first team opportunities for Morrison would be gratetful reduced so his contract is not being renewed and he will be able to find another club.
