After three draws in three games it came as somewhat of a relief that the Pars managed to chalk up a win before the return flight to Scotland. The heavy defeat of Dutch Amatuer outfit Vogido will likely give the Pars confidence going into Saturday's game against Dundee United.
After going behind to a Gary Dempsey opener, the Dutch side struck back through Dan Akkerman to level the score. However further goals from Mehmet, Dempsey (again), a hat-trick from second-half substitue Andy Tod, and a late strike from Derek Lyle ensured the Pars avoided any sort of embarrassment.
With the Pars chalking up an unbeaten record in the pre-season programme, Davie Hay's 'hard-to-beat' management style seems to be taking effect already.
