Dunfermline thrashed relegation threatened Cowdenbeath 4-0 at Central Park to close the gap on Scottish Division One leaders Raith to two points.
All the Pars goals came in the second-half, David Graham netting the first from 12 yards two minutes after half-time.
Liam Buchanan doubled the lead after 69 minutes, nodding home Joe Cardle's cross from close-range.
The visitors made it 3-0 six minutes later Graham netting his second of the match with an 18 yard strike that found the bottom corner.
Andy Kirk then made it four on 84 minutes when he headed in his ninth league goal of the season from six yards as Athletic notched their first league win since beating Beath 5-0 at home on December 29th.
