Pars march on
Dunfermline recorded their 12th consecutive league win against bottom-placed Dumbarton with a 1-0 victory at the Bet Butler Stadium.
The visitors took charge just 48 seconds into the game when top scorer Andrew Barrowman put away Alex Whittle's cross before Ian Murray's unchanged side had even touched the ball.
Steven McDougall thought he had levelled the scores five minutes later when his sidefooted effort beat goalkeeper Paul Gallacher, but defender Jordan McMillan came to the rescue by keeping the ball out with a last-ditch block.
Both goalkeepers were on form to keep the scores level at the break, as Gallacher and Jamie Ewings made important stops to deny James Lister and Shaun Byrne's respective goalbound attempts.
Ryan Wallace was sent through on goal in the 67th minute but was unable to beat Ewings as the visitors went in search of an unassailable lead.
Jim Jefferies' side were able to hold on to all three points, with Scott Agnew's long-range free-kick which flew over the crossbar their only cause for concern late on.
