Falkingham provides double assist for Dunfermline
Josh Falkingham set up both goals for Dunfermline as they overcame Dumbarton 2-0 to keep the pressure on Partick at the top of the Scottish First Division.
Dumbarton's Steven McDougall tested Paul Gallacher midway through the first half with a powerful 25-yard drive that was well held.
But it was the away side who went in front after 41 minutes thanks to Andy Kirk who swept home Falkingham's inviting centre.
The lead was doubled after 52 minutes, with Falkingham once again providing an assist, passing into the path of Stephen Jordan who buried his effort from six yards.
Dunfermline's Ryan Wallace almost stretched the advantage with 18 minutes to go, but his drilled 12-yard strike was saved by Dumbarton goalkeeper Stephen Grindlay.
