Dunfermline remain three points behind First Division leaders Raith after a comfortable 3-1 win over Queen of the South at Palmerston Park.
Liam Buchanan opened the scoring for second-placed Dunfermline in the 51st minute when he drilled a low effort into the bottom corner from 12 yards.
Queen of the South defender Robert Harris turned the ball into his own net four minutes later to make it 2-0.
Colin McMenamin pulled a goal back for the home side with a 68th-minute tap-in, but Dunfermline substitute Joe Cardle wrapped up the points in the 88th minute when he fired home after Calum Woods' throw-in found its way into the six-yard box.
